An heartfelt message...
A few days ago Keith Warner, with whom I’ve worked at the Theater an der Wien a couple of years ago in his staging of Don Giovanni, and who also staged L’elisir d’amore when I debuted in the USA (I was 22!), asked me to write a note for a benefit concert for the Copenhagen Opera House, currently facing financial difficulties.

Great people, amazing evening really!!!
At Fuschlsee, last night, it’s been one of those nights that give a real sense to this job. We raised money for children in need, all proceeds went to the Josef Schörghuber Foundation, we made music with all our hearts and people responded to that with great generosity.

It has been brought to my attention that a concert has been advertised on Salle Pleyel’s printed programme, then on their website, claiming both Anna Netrebko and I would be performing at their venue on 31st January 2012. At some point they withdrew my name from their website, keeping Anna’s. Unfortunately, this information is still incorrect, as neither Anna nor I will be performing...
