Rojotango tour: dance auditions
Dear friends, as we’re preparing a touring show for Rojotango, coreographer Ismael Ivo and I will be auditioning professional dancers, in Vienna, at the end of this month.
Auditions are by invitation only, if you’re a professional dancer below you will find details on how to apply in order to get an invitation.
DANCE AUDITION
ROJOTANGO performance by ERWIN SCHROTT
For the ROJOTANGO tour project by ERWIN SCHROTT, choreographed by ISMAEL IVO, we are looking for male and female dancers with high professional skills.
Candidates should be highly qualified in one or more of these dance techniques:
- tango
- Contemporary dance
- Modern dance
- Classical ballet
- Flamenco
Strong stage presence, theatrical abilities and versatility in absorbing other styles are expected.
(Tango dancers can apply both as soloists or as couples)
Audition upon invitation only:
30th September 2011 (starting at noon) and 1st October 2011 (starting at 10 a.m.), Vienna State Opera
Rehearsals: November / December 2011, Vienna
Preview: January 2012
Premiere: April 2012, Vienna
Tour start: Fall/winter 2012

Selected candidates are requested to prepare a 3 minutes solo (or Tango duet) to be presented at audition.
